This week has been great! I cannot explain how I feel…almost like bursting…but with excitement instead of a full stomach! Today’s post is going to be fairly short and sweet as it has been a mega busy day – with trips to the horses twice, the feed suppliers, a tack shop, B&Q to pick up fence posts and a trip to my sisters too…I haven’t even prepped dinner and it is nearly 8pm; so I can’t be long tonight!
NSVs seem to be crawling out of the woodwork at the moment, which is wonderful, and I have another lovely one to share with you all. Now, long-term readers might remember the post I wrote about fashion, and that I am actually a bit of a closet fashion freak! I adore Vivienne Westwood and could wax lyrical about fashion…but I won’t, not tonight anyway. As a big fat fatty, my options have been severely limited for the past few years. Work clothes were bought from the Dawn French Sixteen47 collection – nice clothes for fatties, not my taste but all I could fit into and rather expensive too – and out of work clothes were courtesy of large men’s shop…I was wearing XXXXXXXXL polo shirts this time last year. In fact, I still wear it now, but it is hanging off me and nearly down to my knees!
Footwear is also a passion of mine, Louboutins, Choos and Blahniks are wish-list target items…just don’t tell my bank…or my other half. As with clothes, my footwear options have also been severely limited. Horrid EEE+ fitting loafers for work…and these beauties for out of work…
…most people I know hate Crocs with a passion, but I rather like the squidgy buggers – they have served me well and are so bloody comfortable! My rather round, football-shaped, claw-toed feet managed to squeeze into these Crocs for a while…but I decided to try and see what other delights awaited me.
Given that I am still 30st+, I am not going to be tottering around on heels…so flats it is. And given that I am fairly casual in my current attire and visits to the horses, I decided just to order some basic items and see what happened. Well, they fitted – that’s what bloody happened! So I now have a wider selection of footwear to chose from…
…they won’t see me strutting down a catwalk, but they will do me for Asda and for my treadmill and for the horses and visits to the park! I know that it might seem sad, but just try and imagine not being able to squeeze your feet into shoes…and then you might be able to share my excitement!
My leggings and polo shirt will stick around for a while longer yet, but I might try some summery sandals perhaps and see how I get on. I can be a clumsy mare…I am not yet spritely on my feet…so I will just have to rein myself in a bit as I don’t want any stupid-shoe injuries! I got all excited when those shoes fitted and started looking online for spending opportunities; the money I used to spend on food might end up going on shoes now!
So that’s it then…just a quick one before the usuals…
As mentioned, it has been a busy day. We went and let the horses out and sorted the stables – in howling bloody wind and rain – and then I was on a mission to find electric fencing equipment. I want to move them into a new field tomorrow and need to keep them in it. They are big buggers and push normal fencing over…so I have to use electric fencing. I needed wooden stakes, earth stakes, and plastic fencing poles and so went on a jaunt to find all of that. I then needed to go to the feed suppliers to top up our stocks of fibre nuts and speedibeet. It was then back to the horses to unload it all and then off to see my sister. I had a lovely late afternoon and early evening with the kids and my brother in law and sister. I think they are hoping to rejoin Slimming World – woohoo! They tried SlimFast and lost weight, but know it isn’t sustainable…and they obviously want to be able to enjoy healthy food as a family too. I don’t want to be one of those annoying family-members that try and convert everyone to their way of doing things, but I genuinely believe that you have to enjoy your food and that it has to healthy…so I might just keep being annoying for a while longer; especially as I want my Dad to get stuck in and lose weight too! Anyway, it’s going to be a quiet evening and I might start a new book…oh, the excitement of the life I lead.
Breakfast: Two Benefit bars (1 x HEB) and a banana.
OMG – forget all of the rest of today’s food…dinner was bloody epic! I cannot explain how good it tasted! I chopped red onion and spring onion, yellow pepper and mushrooms, then added cherry tomatoes and a massive handful of spinach. Then it was garlic and tomato purée and a couple of tbsps of red Thai curry paste (1 syn per tbsp) and a bit of water to stop it all sticking. I added Quorn pieces and just bunged it all in together and cooked it. I then took it off the heat and stirred through a Muller light with coconut and chocolate sprinkles and used a packet of Uncle Bens pilau rice (4 syns). It was so delicious and beats anything I have had from a curry house…seriously! And the best thing is that I have leftovers – woohoo! And the even better thing was that it was ready to eat within 30 minutes – double woohoo!
Exercise: Just all of the running around today.
Thank you for reading…normal service will be resumed tomorrow hopefully…if I haven’t passed out from putting up electric fencing that is!
Loads of love and squishy hugs,
