Today I have mostly been talking to an iPad! Hang w/ is a new app for Apple products – coming soon to Android apparently – and it allows users to broadcast live videos…up-to three minutes, which actually seems like quite a long time when you start talking! You basically create an account and then broadcast, people will watch you and can ask questions / make comments. You can also follow other people and do the same – ask them questions etc. I also found out that you can save your top 6 video clips…so any new followers can check them out. I have recorded a few clips, so if any of you would like to take a look, please feel free!
I would really like to interact a little more with people – so if any of you have any specific questions for me, or any topics you would like me to talk about, or an old blog post you want me to explain, then please let me know – you can always email at weightlossbitch81@yahoo.com if you don’t want to leave a comment on the blog! I have so far rambled a bit about how much I weighed when I started, and how much I have lost so far; a bit about why I started writing my blog and the incident which prompted this; along with another couple of rambles.
My only concern is how to deal with the stupid comments I will no doubt get. Hang w/ has such a reach – with Saudi, American and Chinese broadcasters amongst the few I have seen. So I am a little worried about this – I can handle my own, but I don’t want to come across as a madam! I have already had one plonker ask me if I was ‘fit’ – I mean, come on, I weigh over 32st, so unless that’s your thing…I think I put him in his place! So if you do broadcast, just be mindful of the comments…you don’t have to look at them, but as I want to interact with people, I think it’s an important and exciting part of the app.
I think I may have a little rant building though…and it relates yet again to that wonderful thing called perception! I have noticed that the ‘good looking’ girls have lots of followers, and don’t seem to be afraid of using their charms to get them. Which is just life I guess…but I can’t help get frustrated. I have already had people on there ask me stuff like “who are YOU?” and asking what I look like. Surely this doesn’t matter – surely what comes out of my mouth is more important? I would far rather talk to, and follow, interesting people. I am sure some of these ladies have plenty of good to say…and I would rather hear that than see their pretty hair flicks and come to bed eyes! In fact, I can do good hair flicks – with my luscious long dark locks…and I haven’t done too badly in the attraction of handsome men…so maybe I should let my come to bed eyes do the talking too!! Haha! But anyway, I am just being a Scrooge – live and let live after all…the world needs overt flirts too!
I would like to say ‘hello’ to Laura, Jo, Karen, Ness and Ciara who I have spotted on there so far – let me know if you are there and I’ve missed you. I would love to catch up with some more of you…but be warned, you will have to put up with my childish artwork screen views! I think I am going to get my niece to help me do some pics – I might get her to draw me, so you get an idea…although that could be dangerous considering some of the things she has told me I look like! And please don’t get the wrong impression…there are times when I get a little confidence boost and want to reveal myself (in a non rude way!) but then I just get worried about people locally knowing my weight and stuff, so please bear with me; it is a reflection of my worries and concerns, not a reflection of my views about you lovely people that makes me hide! 😉
Here’s to Hang w/ then…let’s see where this app takes Weight Loss Bitch and my rants!
Onto the usuals then…
It was another weird night of sleep – restless, but I couldn’t work out why really. Although being woken up at 4.30am by my other half shouting “is everyone okay?” at the top of his voice probably didn’t help! He didn’t stir, but I lay there giggling at him – bless…it’s so lovely to watch him sleep. Yes, I realise that this sounds rather strange, and I would be weirded out to find him watching me if I woke up suddenly, but he has so much going on during the day, yet looks so peaceful and cute when he is sleeping; I just give him a big hug and cover him back up when he has random nighttime outbursts! It will come as no surprise when I say that I woke up before the alarm, expecting to see a covering of snow outside…but it was just a bit mushy and wet. We headed off to the horses, who were in fine form, and then popped to Asda for our usual daily shop. It was then home! I also had a little momentous occasion today – a rather silly one to most of you – but I made my own lunch! I said it would sound silly, but I haven’t actually stood and cooked a meal for well over two years. I do all of the prep and chopping, and I generally decide what we are having, but the other half does the cooking bit. This is because I haven’t been able to stand for any real length of time for such a long time now, but now that nearly 11st has come off, things are changing. So I headed into the kitchen and made a Thai curry for lunch! Woohoo! I then settled down for the afternoon to learn all about Hang w/ and to catch up on Facebook and Twitter with some of my lovely virtual friends…who actually mean more to me than some of the real life people I know!! I am hoping for a nice quiet night – I really want to watch a programme called ‘Challenger’ which aired on BBC2 earlier in the week…about the investigation into the space shuttle disaster. I am hoping it will be lighter viewing than the two programmes about serial killers I watched last night – in fact, maybe they explain my restless night and my other half’s outburst! 😉
Breakfast: Banana and some minty low fat yogurt.

Lunch: Green Thai chicken, lentil and potato curry.

Dinner: Special fried rice – Slimming World style!

Snacks: HiFi bar and two slices of cheese (HEA and HEB).

Breakfast was rather strange this morning! I had no apples left, so my usual choice this week was replaced with some minty yogurt…which was okay, but I normally partner this with a homemade curry and my microwaved poppadoms, so only ended up having a couple of spoons of it in the end. Lunch was delicious – and a bit more substantial than I am used to having. I had some leftover chicken, so fried this off with some Thai Green paste (1.5 syns) some ginger, some garlic and onions, then added mushrooms, some leftover mini roast potato chunks, lentils, cherry tomatoes, spinach and bit of veg stock. Once this had cooked, I stirred through a Muller Light coconut yogurt (yes, the one with chocolate sprinkles!) and served it up…and it was delicious! I will be aiming to recreate it another time as it was so nice, full of veggies, and really tasty. Dinner had been planned a couple of days ago – we wanted to enjoy the special ‘fried’ rice we made a few weeks ago, and so made it again. We cheat, and use Uncle Bens Golden Veg rice (2.5 syns per sachet) and then add chicken, bacon pieces, spring onion, chopped fine green beans, peas and sweetcorn. Then, once it has been cooked, quickly stir through a whisked egg and serve with salad. It tastes better than any rice I have had from a takeaway before! Snack-wise, due to my blow out earlier in the week, I have been trying to save my healthy extras to have in the evening…so it was just the HiFi bar and cheese to tonight. So a total of 4 syns today.
Exercise: 15 minutes Boxercise, 15 minutes Dancercise, 15 minutes Sit-ups – 45 minutes in total.
Pleased to be getting back into the exercise again…no treadmill yet as my knees are quite sore at the moment, but I will be on it as soon as I can. Plenty to be getting on with in the meantime though! 😉
Lots of weekend ‘woohoo!’ for you all!

okay I actually love your voice!
Haha! Wonderful! x
I will have to wait until Hang w/ hits Android to connect with you on there. Is that Killers Behind Bars and Britain’s Worst Serial Killers you watched lastnight? I watch shows like that (real life and fictional) on a regular basis, the psychology of crime and criminal/psychological profiling is of huge interest to me.
Yes, it was those two programmes – fascinates me too…would love an opportunity to talk to some of them! x
yes there are several of them I would love to talk to as well. xxx
I’m defintely going to be on Hang w/ later for my first broadcast 🙂 TOK is on there too, as TaliaCad 🙂
Loved finally hearing you! x
PS I love watching Hague sleep too, they really do look so sweet and beautiful without the stresses of the day on their faces don’t they?
I think I’ve followed you both – still picking it up! x
