I adore travelling – the further afield the better! But at my size I would either have to charter a plane for myself, or seriously annoy other passengers as I take up their room…so I have restricted myself over the past few years, not venturing further than Scotland. Not that there is anything wrong with Scotland, in fact I would move there if they would allow a ‘sassenach’ in!
Part of my motivation for losing weight is travelling. I want to go and see the Taj Mahal, and I want to trek the Inca Trail, and take a walk along the Great Wall of China. Safaris, beach holidays, mountain retreats, adventure and adrenaline fuelled trips are all of the things I am craving! So collecting brochures and clippings of places I want to go to, and things I want to see, really helps to spur me on. And we have to dream!
Find a holiday you really want to go on – and perhaps for each lb you lose you could put a pound away in a separate account towards your dream break! And perhaps each time you resist some item of food or drink that would knock you off track you could also put a pound away. Find something which floats your boat and work hard to achieve it!
