First of all, apologies for the state of this picture…as you can see, my list is very well read!
I printed my ‘reasons why I want to lose weight’ list off and carry it around with me in my purse. During moments of temptation, or moments when I am frustrated and thinking of throwing the towel in, I take it out and remind myself of all the reasons why I embarked upon this journey in the first place.
You might not be able to read them all, and probably don’t want to read them all – in fact, when I wrote this list I never thought I would share it with anyone! But I am happy to share it if it helps to motivate or inspire just one person to change their life for the better.
Some of my reasons include:
Being able to care for the horses myself
Being able to shop anywhere for clothes
Feeling happier when I look in the mirror
Improving my mobility
Improving my health
Having more energy
Feeling more optimistic
Not losing my temper as often (as I won’t be so frustrated with myself)
Being less self-critical
Feeling in control
The list of reasons really is endless. I was literally on deaths door and could feel my body shutting down – so my motivation was there…but we all need reminders and I think that getting together a list of your own reasons will really help!
