Teeth – what can we learn from them?! 😉
This is just a quickie tonight as I am feeling a little under the weather and want to be in bed!
Teeth. I was watching the Sensodyne toothpaste advert a couple of weeks ago and had to chuckle. I was watching it whilst I was eating a pizza. It was during that dark week when I had stopped doing everything that I knew worked for me.
The clean(ish!) eating had stopped. The exercise regime had drifted. The meditation was no longer. As for the mindfulness…well, that had gone right out of the window. As had taking pictures of what I was eating…and my food diary…and I even ditched the blog for a night or two.
I felt like I was right back at the beginning of my journey again. I felt pretty useless. I felt out of control. I felt as if I had failed.
I knew what I needed to do – or I knew what I should be doing, but I was choosing to do anything but. I felt a bit helpless.
And then I watched the advert.
Sensodyne. It’s a toothpaste designed for use by those with sensitive teeth. If you have sensitive teeth, you use it, and your tooth sensitivity goes away.
What do you think happens if you stop using it – if you stop doing what you are supposed to do when you have sensitive teeth?
The sensitivity fecking comes back again of course.
So why do us losers stop doing the things that work for us?
Why do we search for endless solutions – the next magic fix?
All we need to do is keep brushing our teeth with Sensodyne! 😉 Seriously. If you find that things have gone a bollock and you are finding your old ways creeping in, just think back to how you started. What worked for you? What lit the fire? What made you feel in control? What made you feel happy? What put a spring in your step?
Work out what works for you…and fecking do it!

Today has been okay. I am not feeling at my best at the moment – fecking hormones! Other than that I spent some time with the horses, and spent most of the day watching Dexter. I was going to go to the gym but ditched it for PJs! I have a busy day tomorrow and am going to try and grab an early night.
Today’s food looked like this…
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with rye cheese toastie (2 x HEA and 2 x HEB) with wilted spinach, and cherry tomatoes.
Lunch: Quorn lamb grills, roasted Mediterranean veggies, and sweet potato wedges.
Dinner: Pasta with mushrooms, cabbage, and leeks.
Snacks: Black Forest fruits, 0% Total Greek, and Nakd bars (12 syns).
Exercise: Nothing today…
